Parks Township is a township in Armstrong County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. The population was 2,744 at the 2010 census.


According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 14.2 square miles (36.8 km²), of which, 14.1 square miles (36.5 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.3 km²) of it (0.84%) is water.


The Kiskiminetas River forms the township's southern boundary with Westmoreland County. Carnahan Run flows through Parks Township.


As of the census of 2000, there were 2,754 people, 1,108 households, and 794 families residing in the township. The population density was 195.4 people per square mile (75.5/km²). There were 1,186 housing units at an average density of 84.2/sq mi (32.5/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 95.21% White, 3.23% African American, 0.04% Native American, 0.91% from other races, and 0.62% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.62% of the population.

A Med Return Drug Collection Box is in the lobby of the Parks Twp Police Dept, 26 Jackson Street, Vandergrift, for disposal of any prescription or over-the-counter medications.  The Office is open 9:00 to 5:00 Monday thru Friday.  Any questions call 724-567-5525 or 724-567-7764.

The Summer Free Lunch Program will begin on June 12, 2017 and end on August 18th.  There are two locations this year:  North Vandergrift Park and Kiskimere Park.  For more information, please call the office at 724-567-7764

The Parks and Recreation Committee will hold a Vendor Craft Show on December 2, 2017 at the PTVFD Social Hall on Dalmation Drive, Kepple Hill, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.  Tables will be $10 each (2 for $15 or 3 for $20); electric is available.  For more details and applications, contact the Township Office (724-567-7764) or Debbie Belles (724-567-6627).   

A public meeting will be held at the Community Building, North Vandergrift, on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 by SPK Engineering to discuss plans for a culvert replacement project on Dime Road over Stitts Run and to address any questions or concerns officials and residents might have.  The meeting will be open from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
