The Parks Township Board of Supervisors held a Budget
Workshop on October 12, 2022 at 6:30 pm in the Community Building, 26 Jackson
Street, Vandergrift.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Gregory
Artman, Chairman Mary E. Ralston, Vice Chairman
Jeanna Cerra, Secretary-Treasurer Scott Kifer was absent
An Executive Session was held to discuss personnel
matters as a result a part time police officer Colton Howard was hired.
Mr. Artman called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm.
General Fund:
The supervisors reviewed the remaining
line items for expenses.
State Fund:
Income and expense
items were reviewed with the general consensus that monies will be used for
roads.
The secretary will provide a proposed Budget outline for
the October 17, 2022 regular meeting.
Other Business:
Mr. Artman made a motion to apply for a Multimodal
Transportation Fund Grant from PennDOT with himself and Ms. Cerra being the
responsible parties for the application and paperwork. Mrs. Ralston seconded
it.
Mrs. Ralston made a motion to advertise the Dime Building
Roof replacement for bids and to use funds from the ARPA Fund. Mr. Artman
seconded it.
Mr. Artman made a motion to get phone quotes to have
cracks sealed on Slate Point and Kepple Avenue.
Mrs. Ralston seconded it.
Mr. Artman made a motion to donate $10,000 to the Fire
Department from the ARPA Funds. Mrs. Ralston seconded it.
Mr. Artman made a motion to adjourn at 8:15 Mrs. Ralston
seconded it.
